    The Unravelling Wilburys, a band of good ‘ol boys, turn their skills and replicate the sound and songs of the late 80s ‘super-group’ The Traveling Wilburys, where five of the greatest names in rock music history came together: George Harrison, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan and Jeff Lynne of ELO and completed two Wilburys albums, Volumes One and Three though, sadly, Roy Orbison had passed away before Volume Three was recorded.

    So… welcome to Thumper, Blind Melon, Sticky Willy, Walter and Javelin … The Unravelling Wilburys. In a former guise as top Beatles project, Sgt Pepper’s Only Dart Board Band, (The Flab Five), they had toured for 21 years playing at UK festivals, including Glastonbury, and at theatres and music venues across Europe and the UK. They also headlined at a Beatles festival at Montgomery, Alabama.

    Their shows feature the boys take on their songs being usurped by Messrs Harrison, Dylan, Lynne, Orbison and Petty, back in the late 80s at Nashville, Tennessee. The story unravels, as is told in the show, and it comes to be that The Unravelling Wilburys have now stolen back what is rightfully theirs! Not only that, they have stolen some choice solo songs (allegedly) from Messrs Dylan, Lynne, Orbison, Harrison and Petty as compensation... and now happily play them in their shows!

    OTWAY AND BARRETT
    Nearly Free

    This magnetic bond still holds after more than 40 years of attempted escapes and still loved for their total in-yer-face originality, the contrast between the dead pan humour of Barrett and mad onstage antics of Otway are hilarious to watch. John’s lyrical genius and Willy’s outstanding musicianship (he seems to play almost every stringed instrument known to man, plus a few hybrids of his own making!)

    Ever keen to add a new dimension to the show, Willy has a new addition to his array of instruments. Beware the Moose Homp!!.

    Willy’s interest in making instruments began when he commandeered two guitars made by his dad in 1965. One from an old guitar neck and a scaffold plank which became affectionally known as the Les Dawson, and the other branded the Mk1 Schitstik electric slide of similar pedigree. These instruments were used on many of the early tracks, including Really Free and Racing Cars)

    Was the Last Straw Tour of 2017 to be the end? Willy’s remark “this will be the last time that many of you will see us together again” was often hastily misinterpreted as the final throw of the dice, but the reason given “it’s not us packing up, it’s you lot dying off, you know who you are!” is often overlooked by eager scribes. And so the rumours abound.

    For any Otway/Barrett virgins out there who don’t know what to expect, be prepared for everything from bare-chested theremin playing to wah wah wheelie bin as the duo jump from one hit and 40 near misses to another: An amazing and irreverent performance by two master entertainers.

    Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate the early songs of the influential progressive rock band Genesis with leading UK tribute band The Book of Genesis, who faithfully recreate the 1970s era complete with period musical instruments, fabulous costumes, an animated slide show, and atmospheric synchronised lighting in a packed 3-hour show.

    Nigel Betteridge (as Peter Gabriel/Phil Collins) has many years of experience singing the early Genesis songs. This coupled with the theatrical costumes and masks that Gabriel used (including
    “The Flower”, “Bat Wings”, “Magog”, “Crested Britannia” and more) makes for a truly dramatic performance;
    Howard Boder (as Tony Banks) our classically trained keyboards maestro, has gone to a lot of trouble to re-create the early ‘Genesis/Banks’ keyboard sounds. Generous to a fault, Howard tells you how to get these vintage sounds on YouTube (now with over 99,000 hits);

    Bob Arnold (as Steve Hackett) with his Les Paul Gold Top as his main instrument is a hard core devotee of Steve Hackett’s work (including both electric and acoustic repertoires) – marvelling at his jaw-dropping rendition of the Firth of Fifth solo is one of many highlights!

    Kirk Watson (as Mike Rutherford) not only has a multi-instrumentalist role (‘Rickenbacker’ double neck-bass/12-string, bass guitar, bass pedals, 12 string acoustic guitar), but sings backing vocals too – his contribution is, quite simply, awesome!

    Russ Wilson (as Phil Collins) hailing from the sensational Yes tribute band “Fragile”, Russ is unquestionably an incredable drummer. As a pro drummer and teacher, he brings technical authenticity and sensitivty to the role.

    David Sinclair Four ( DS4 )

    The David Sinclair Four aka DS4 have roots in blues and rock but with a greater eclectic mix of songs than many bands in the genre. The band is led by singer songwriter guitarist David Sinclair and lead guitarist Geoff Peel. David Sinclair has released five albums and is a IRL recording artist. The latest DS4 release ‘Sweet Georgina’ has had superb reviews and David says;

    “I first came across Georgina in the 1960s. She was a flower child and a femme fatale. She hung out somewhere in the south of England with the Stones and Hendrix and Zeppelin. But her memories stretched back much further, and she could see far into the future. Georgina is eternal. A muse who is music. She's always around when I'm writing songs and working with the DS4. She has become our patron saint. This was the most difficult album I've ever made. The rhythm section emigrated. My wife got ill. I broke my finger three days before we started recording. But I could hear Georgina's call - loud, clean and clear as a bell. Music saves nothing; not your band or your loved ones and least of all your soul. But it breaks through the walls and ceilings and barriers that keep you stuck inside and it shows you the sky. Sweet Georgina loves you all.”

    As a writer and columnist for The Times, Rolling Stone and Billboard, he has chronicled the rock 'n' roll years and now takes centre stage with his band to tell his own musical tale as well as revisiting songs by blues masters from Chuck Berry to Stevie Ray Vaughan. The band make frequent appearances on the London music scene playing at such iconic venues as The Borderline, The 100 Club, The Dublin Castle plus appearances at festivals across the UK.

    Deep Blue Sea

    Deep Blue Sea create new shoots from the old roots, taking the blues out for a walk in the sun and the rain, telling tales from the lives we are all living - playing music for the moment we are in. Deep Blue Sea return to The Limelight after their successful debut appearance playing their funky, soulful blues mix led by Los Angeles vocalist Dregas.

    "Funky, invisible reggae, rockabilly, guitar driven fretboard dexterity, pain and grief and Rock and Roll - you'll love this blues tinged rock without any flotsam and jetsam, once again, the SEA giving up its riches."
    Blues in Britain - 'Live It Up' album review

    "The quality of the playing alone would put this gig up there with the best but this is also great fun; the band obviously enjoy themselves and audiences will always pick up on that. Great performances and big smiles all around the room - that’s a good combination for a great night." Music Riot

    "A breathtaking performance from Deep Blue Sea with a flawless mix of original songs featuring a soulful harmonic voice and driving guitar - we knew this was something special from the first song to the sudden rush to buy CDs at the end." Andy Davies, promoter Woodlands Blues Club

    A very special performance from the hosts of Aylesbury Folk Club - Amanda Diamond & Eddy Richards.

    Amanda Diamond has been singing in folk clubs for 33 years. Her father Hugh Diamond is a stalwart of the English Folk scene and dragged Amanda everywhere from Sidmouth and Towersey festivals (to name a few) to folk clubs all over the country.

    Starting out in the popular Herga Folk Club, Amanda then went on to have a residency at Capital Folk Club in London and her father's club Maid of Ale in Maida Vale!

    She met her husband, Eddy Richards at the Barnet Folk Club, who has since accompanied her on guitar for 30 years.
