Volunteering

We offer a number of opportunities for those wanting to volunteer at the Centre. Whether you are looking to give something back to the community; fulfil your volunteering requirements for Duke of Edinburgh; or are looking to get back into the workplace after some time away, Queens Park Arts Centre welcomes all applications from people who would like to lend a hand.

Benefits of Volunteering

As well as offering the chance to meet new people and gain new skills there are a number of benefits we offer to all regular volunteers:

  • Free annual membership (which provides up to 20% off theatre tickets; discounted workshops and an invite to our AGM, see membership section for further details)
  • One free workshop a week (this is subject to availability)
  • An invite to our annual volunteers party
  • We're also signed up to the Spice Time Credit initiative, allowing registered volunteers to earn Time Credits when volunteering with us, which can in turn be redeemed at various museums, leisure facilities and attractions across the country

How to become a volunteer

Email info@qpc.org with your name and contact details (phone number and email address), and a brief description of the areas of volunteering you would be interested in and your availability. If applying for a specific vacancy then please put the title of the role in the subject line.

We endeavour to respond to all volunteering requests; but please be aware that there are limited opportunities available and we may not always be able to offer something suitable. All requests are filed and we send out regular emails about opportunities as they become available. Please provide us with an email address if you are interested in receiving these updates.

Feedback from current volunteers…

“I have been volunteering at the Centre for over 20 years now and thoroughly enjoy giving something back. The staff are welcoming and friendly, and the Centre has a lively atmosphere. It is a great way of getting out of the house and meeting new people.” Pottery Tutor
