Hatha yoga deals with the physical and mental side of our being, encouraging the body and its systems to be balanced and consequently healthy.Hatha Yoga’s effectiveness works because it is a holistic practice. The Postures help build strength and flexibility while reducing tensions in the body, encouraging it to relax. The breathing techniques (pranayama) help to build energy and increase the flow of oxygen and blood to the vital organs and relaxation techniques allow the body to absorb the work that came before and encourage the body to retain a feeling of calm and cope at times of stress.
