    Three-week course: 25 Nov, 2 Dec, 9 Dec, 10:30am - 12:30pm
    with Leila Ward

In this course we will learn how mindfulness can help you to enhance your creativity and increase your inner peace and enjoyment.

Art is a naturally mindful activity where you become so immersed in it you lose track of time. All other thoughts and worries disappear and we become calmer and feel better and more joyful. We will use different projects to apply mindfulness during the workshop through observation and experiments with colour, marks, and texture. These exercises will help you to rediscover your creativity and joy in art, rather than be focused on the outcome.

The workshop is suitable for both beginners and those with some experience of mindfulness and art.

    What students should bring along:
    - Pencils
    - Rubber
    - Ruler
    - Pencil sharpener
    - Watercolour paints and brushes if you have some

    About the Tutor

She has experimented with different mediums over the years, and particularly likes drawing/ painting animals, and using watercolour, acrylic, and printing techniques. Leila runs the Tring Art Society, and enjoys making art more accessible to others, showing people that anyone can create art.
