    An introduction to a quick and practical approach to still life drawing, from first sketch to rendering of final piece.

    Students will need:
    - A3 paper suitable for coloured pencils - lightly textured sheets and 240g minimum advised
    - Coloured pencils - 24 colours minimum preferable
    - Pencil sharpener and eraser
    - Drawing board
    - Some sheets of cartridge paper (to try colours on and to rest your hand on the piece while working, and to dry your brushes if using acrylics for highlights)
    - For highlights: Titanium White Acrylic paint + a fine soft pointed brush no. 1 or 2 (both optional)
    - A cup / container for water

    With Spring, Mother’s day and Easter in mind you will have the chance to create some beautifully marbled handmade soaps.

    Learn how to create a marble effect within your soaps using two different coloured bases. You will be able to add a variety of cosmetic colours/scents/aromatherapy oils/herbs & flowers, to a plain base soap to create some wonderfully fragrant and lovely looking handmade soaps.

    This session will be a step on from the introduction workshop, but is still suitable for beginners.

    Create a clay head that tells a story so come along with some ideas.

    Students will be using a polystyrene head as a mould and building half a clay head on top. This will be completed in a day but will have to be fired and paid for at a later date.

    You'll also learn a few rendering techniques that could be used after the head has been fired.
