Friday 20th March 2020, 10:30am - 3:00pmA special study day for KS2 students, presented by the British Film InstituteTake a voyage with us into well-known book adaptations from Harry Potter, through Arrietty, and to The BFG.Using opening sequences, book and screenplay extracts, we will look at how prose is transposed into script, moving image and sound. We will also explore the themes of the texts: giants, magic, dreams and the difference a small child can make in a big world. Suitable drama tasks will also be included in a range of interactive pupil activities. The afternoon includes an introduced screening of Spielberg’s The BFG (2016).BOOKINGS: This event is for school parties and teachers.
