What is a Queens Park Craft Party?

Queens Park Craft Parties are a brand new resource at Queens Park Arts Centre, giving people the chance to celebrate special occasions such as birthdays, stag & hen parties or anniversaries by getting creative. We cater to all ability levels and offer a range of artistic disciplines to choose from, including pottery and art & craft.

Our parties are tailored to the partygoers’ interests – so if you want to celebrate a big birthday with a pottery session and the guest of honour loves animals, our tutors will help partygoers create animal-inspired art, from sculptures to decorated mugs and book-ends.

If clay’s not your thing then you could try a Mixed Crafts Party with Pippa North, where attendees can create new artwork from unusual and exciting recycled materials; re-imagine an object to create a custom keepsake for the day.

Each party includes a 2-hour studio session led by an experienced tutor, during which party-goers will have the chance to create their very own themed memento. These can be taken home on the day (or, in the case of pottery, left at the Centre to be fired in the kiln).

How much does a party cost?

Our Parties cater for groups of 6-12 people (for a children's party, we accept bookings for ages 6+). It costs £20 per person to attend - this fee covers the use of the studio space, all of the resources, tools and materials needed during the session and, for pottery sessions, bisque firing of the finished items (one item per person).

Please Note: In order to secure a booking we will require a deposit to be paid per person attending, usually 50% of the total. We will confirm this at the time of booking.

Optional Extras

Coffee Bar Hire: We are unable to offer a catering service or decoration for the parties. However, for an additional £30 you can rent our Coffee Bar space in which to serve your own food after the pottery session has concluded. This can be set up whilst the session is in progress.

Availability

During term time our studio spaces are available for parties on Saturday afternoons (after 1pm) and all day Sunday.
